Another stupid project

So... The wardrobe project is on its way. I promise. I'm just snoozing on the picture-taking and composing aaaand... Honestly I haven't gotten as far as I would have wanted. But I have started another project. With the goal of making all my food in order to save money. I'm guessing I'll be sharing more pictures and recipes of this than the clothing projects right now. Mainly because I have limited space for the sewing machine right now and well... The kitchen is right there mocking me! First out in the frugal but healthy food project is a soup. It is made using about 2,5 do corn, 3 dl carrots, 1,5 dl red lentils, one stock cube, 1,5 liters of water, three garlic cloves and some garam masala spice mix. Boil until everything is soft, mix and distribute in lunch boxes. Super simple! And made 5 lunches for me! Please do note however, that I make very small lunch boxes. This is probably four normal portions, for someone who knows that they eat a lot, maybe three. This took all in all, with chopping, cooking and cleaning up, 30 minutes and all five boxes had a total cost of 20 SEK which is about the same amount as 3 USD. It isn't a very pretty dish, but it is very tasty! And cheap! Pretty good if you ask me. :)

Starting fresh- new blog, new project (The handmade wardrobe project)

For a long time I've had this weird idea of making my own wardrobe. Now, I'm not completely insane, I get that it won't really be possible to make my ENTIRE wardrobe but, I would like to make at least a weeks worth of clothes for a vacation or similar. and each year I remember it sometime in May and I have no time to actually manage it all before summer arrives. This time however, I'm starting in August, planning for my vacation in June of 2016. Today I'm having a really lazy Saturday just watching Seinfeld and, making up a little plan for this project:

I'm making a weeks worth of clothes and since I'm Swedish I cannot rely on it to actually be hot and summery because well, Swedish weather has a mind of it's own. (this summer temperatures have been skipping up and down between 11 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.) And my wardrobe has to reflect this, therefore this list is what I'll be trying to make before next summer:

- one bra (mainly because they are sooo annoying to make, I'd rather wash it every day than make more than one)

- seven pairs of underwear

- two pairs of socks (for the same reason as the one bra, better aim low!)

- one bikini

- one pair of pantyhose (knit)

- two dresses

- two camisoles

- two t-shirts

- one pair of shorts

- one skirt

- one pair of pants

- one pajamas

- one thin cardigan

- one heavy weight cardigan/jacket

- one pair of shoes

- one toiletry bag

- one handbag

- and one weekend bag to pack it all in

I might add more to it as I go along and I might take somethings out, but this is a start at least. Now I'm off to plan another little stupid project, namely the christmas gifts for 2015. Gotta start early!
